After a week of the Waves Festival in Vordingborg \u2013 a small town situated 1 hour south of Copenhagen \u2013 I know much more about that. Here I hosted the Waves X-tra program with two 2-day seminars. One on Small Town Festivals with a World View<\/em> for and with festival directors and one seminar for the Danish regional theaters aimed at international inspiration. It was an exciting week – the sort that leaves you feeling completely energized and exhausted at the same time. Here I met passion in many forms:<\/p>\n

Passion is when you throw yourself into a performance with rousing Indian rhythms and a riot of colors, which leaves you in a very colored mode smiling in every bone …<\/p>\n

Passion is the tireless audience – coming again and again in large quantities happily letting themselves be absorbed in the many performances – even if you have to sit on a enlarged bench or stand on your head in a fun game …<\/p>\n

Passion is festival leaders like Nullo Facchini – here surrounded by European colleagues, people who are dying to show us the best performing arts, traveling the world to see many performances, meet with colleagues, deeply committed to their festival, and how it can always get better …<\/p>\n

Passion is seven Belgian children, who spend most of their free time to travel around the world and perform as fully professional performers, children who touches our hearts deeply when they are on stage as homeless children.<\/p>\n
